DESCRIPTION:Wanna’ shed some pounds?Then get on board with our new fundraiser\, Pound for (the) Pound.The goal of this fundraiser is to collect dog and cat food\, treats\, and cat litter.  Help us fill up our virtual trucks\, below\, with pound after pound!  Our goal is to collect: \n\n600 pounds of dog food\n400 pounds of cat food\n100 cans of wet dog food\n100 cans of wet cat food\n50 pounds of dog treats\n500 pounds of cat litter\n\nChoose from one of the many donation levels by clicking on the paypal dropdown menus\, right.  Your donation will support the Tucker County Animal Shelter in Parsons\, WV.  Check out their video\, above\, which talks about the shelter and their needs. \nYour donations will feed and care for the animals waiting to be adopted at the shelter. \nWe’ll be running the fundraiser for the whole month of April\, and will personally deliver your donations to the shelter in May (pics to come!)  Check back every day to see the trucks filling up with food\, treats\, and litter. \nShed some pounds for spring and help shelter animals in need!

SUMMARY:Easy as Pie
DESCRIPTION:Since March 14 is National Pie Day\, we thought we’d do a pie-themed shelter run this time around.  On Saturday\, March 22\, we’ll be headed to the Humane Society of Wicomico County in Salisbury\, MD to take them food and supplies for their shelter residents\, some of whom are pictured below.  We’ll also be helping to stock their Community Pet Pantry\, a service that is near and dear to our hearts\, as it can mean the difference between keeping a pet in their home vs. surrendering them to the shelter.  We’re hoping you can make it “easy as pie” for us to reach our goal. \nHere’s how it works: \n\nWe’ve asked the shelter for their wishlist\, and we’ll be collecting donations for the items below.\nIf you wish to donate an item\, please see the paypal buttons below to make a donation towards an item.  If you’re adding multiple items and get an error message\, try going back to the webpage and adding from there.\nYou can also make a monetary donation to be applied to our travel costs below by using the “Donation” button below.\nWhen an item is donated\, we’ll update the wishlist\, and for every $500 donated\, we’ll add a new delicious slice of pie to the chart below.\nThe items for which you are donating will not be delivered to you. DESCRIPTION:We’re looking for folks who would like to commit to an automatic $12/month donation for the next 12 months* to fund our non-profit missions.\nFinding an extra $12/month could be as simple as: \n\nNot buying Starbucks one day out of the week (your dog won’t mind if you’re a little cranky due to caffeine deprivation!)\nForgoing a fast food meal once or twice during the month (cats don’t like fries anyway\, right?)\nSkip one movie night out (stay in and cuddle with your furry friends instead!)\nCarpool once a month (you’ll help the environment AND our animal friends)\nSkip ordering one drink with your meal at a restaurant (and get drunk on your pet’s love instead!)\nWash your car instead of taking it to the car wash (your dog might LOVE to help with the hose)\nUse coupons online or at the grocery store (just don’t skimp on your cat’s food—she’ll know it!)\n\nWe’re being a little tongue-in-cheek here\, but the point is\, many of us could pretty easily find an extra $12 a month.  If you are one such person and would like to help Tails of Hope\, please click the Subscribe button on the left below.  If you’d prefer to make a one-time flat donation\, you can use the Donation button. \n  \n​*While ideally we’d ask for a 1-year commitment\, donors have the option to terminate their monthly donation at any time.  We’ve included enhanced donation options as well\, if anyone would like to donate a bit more.
